EMDR & IFS Intensives
Deeper Healing, Concentrated
Half-day and full-day intensives for those ready to move beyond the 50-minute hour — and through what weekly sessions haven't fully reached.
What Is a Therapy Intensive?
Traditional weekly therapy is valuable — and sometimes the pacing itself becomes a limit. A therapy intensive offers a sustained, uninterrupted block of time: several hours to go deeper, process more fully, and integrate in real time.
Rather than picking up where you left off each week, an intensive allows us to stay with difficult material long enough for something to shift in a shorter amount of time. It's especially well-suited to trauma processing, life transitions, and those who feel "stuck" despite ongoing work.
Sustained Momentum
Extended sessions allow you to settle in, do deep work, and fully integrate, without the interruption of a session-end bell.
Compressed Progress
Many clients find that a single intensive accomplishes what might take months of weekly sessions to reach.
Flexible Format
Whether you have limited availability, are going through a transition, or face a time-sensitive situation, intensives work with your life.
The Approaches
Modality One
EMDR — Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps the nervous system reprocess overwhelming experiences. Rather than requiring you to talk about difficult memories in detail, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to facilitate the brain's natural healing, moving memories from a raw, triggering state to something more resolved and distant.
EMDR is highly effective for both single-incident and complex trauma, and can also address anxiety, panic, phobias, grief, and stuck patterns rooted in early experience.
- Highly effective for trauma, anxiety, phobias, and grief
- Works with beliefs, feelings, and body sensations that feel "stuck"
- Evidence-based — recognized by the APA and WHO
- Suitable for adults and teens, individually or as an add-on
Modality Two
IFS — Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems is based on the understanding that the mind is naturally made up of distinct "parts" — inner voices, feelings, and patterns that developed for good reasons, even when they now cause conflict or pain.
In an IFS intensive, we slow down enough to hear from the parts of you that are protective, burdened, or longing to be seen. With curiosity and compassion, you develop a deeper relationship with your inner world — which changes how you relate to the outer one.
- Builds deep self-compassion and inner leadership
- Especially helpful for inner conflict and self-criticism
- Works well with attachment wounds and relational patterns
- Non-pathologizing and respectful of your full complexity
Intensive Formats
Both formats include preparation, integration support, and follow-up. Choose the depth that fits your goals and readiness.
Half-Day Intensive
5 hours total · $1,150
A focused session for going deeper than a standard appointment allows — without committing to a full day. Ideal for processing a specific issue or event, or exploring EMDR or IFS in an extended format for the first time.
The half-day provides enough time to settle in, do substantive work, and close with integration — leaving you with real movement, not loose threads.
What's Included
- 1-hour intake, history-taking & goal-setting session
- 3 hours of uninterrupted individual therapy
- Integrated EMDR and/or IFS as clinically appropriate
- 1-hour integration & aftercare planning session
- Written summary and aftercare guidance
- Follow-up check-in
Full-Day Intensive
8 hours total · $2,100
For those ready to do substantial, sustained work. With a full day, we can address multiple layers — not just surface events, but the underlying beliefs, protective parts, and nervous system patterns that keep them in place.
Many clients describe the full-day as the equivalent of months of meaningful progress — a genuine turning point.
What's Included
- 1-hour intake, history-taking & goal-setting session
- 6 hours of therapy with scheduled rest breaks
- Integrated EMDR and IFS across the arc of the day
- Mindfulness, somatic, and grounding practices

Is This Right for You?
Intensives tend to work well if you…
- Have prior therapy experience and feel ready to go deeper
- Are processing a specific trauma, loss, or life transition
- Feel "stuck" despite ongoing weekly sessions
- Have limited availability for regular weekly appointments
- Are visiting the area and want concentrated support
- Want immersive work before or after a major life event
- Are navigating a major change (move, divorce, health diagnosis)
A few things to consider first…
- If you're in acute crisis, weekly stabilization may be a better starting point
- If you have no prior therapy experience, a few preparatory sessions can help you get the most from an intensive
- Intensives require capacity to stay present with difficult material over extended time — we'll assess this together in your consultation
